My name is Laurie Kany. I have been taking pictures for over 20 years. I have a background in art and architecture. Photography is art to me. I love to photograph everything from bugs and flowers to architecture and people. I use a combination of traditional (posed) photography, photojournalism, and a visual arts approach.      In 2009, I won second place and honorable mention for two photos I entered in the 30th annual Jericho Arts Council Fine Arts Show.

      At Kany Photography, we take the time to get to know our clients. We show you samples of different styles of photography to learn what type of photos you want. We learn the details of your wedding so no moment is missed. We provide a detailed picture checklist so we know exactly what pictures you want while allowing you to write in any that you want but don't find on the checklist. We always respond to emails and phone calls in one business day. Planning a wedding is stressful enough, we give you one less thing to stress about, our reliability.

     I use two Canon EOS 20D digital SLR cameras along with the Canon Speedlite 430EX flash along with various lenses and filters to create unique artistic photos.

      All my photos are printed on high quality metalic paper that brings the photo to life. I offer a variety of sizes. I also offer collage photo albums using the pictures I have taken or your pictures. They make a unique gift for every occasion. I also offer accordian albums ( a 3x3 album with 12 photos that you can throw in your purse), traditional matted albums, and gallery canvases. Please call or email for more information and pricing.
